July #SWIMfan, Lilit Hayrapetyan

Wow. July. The year is now waning. But the sun is still scorching for most of the day so don’t get down on it. And with that brings our July SWIMfan spotlight!

We have chosen the esteemed Lilit Hayrapetyan.

Based in the Los Angeles area, Lilit is an art director, designer, and 3D artist working at Psyop. She also works at Riot games as an Art Director for Animation shorts. Her work is varied, styled, and wide ranging. She has worked on commercials, title sequences, feature films, and branding campaigns for AT&T, MTV, Sherlock Holmes 2, and MLB Baseball tonight.

She was born and raised in Armenia, and according to her bio, Lilit has been influenced by an array of art mediums that range traditional drawings in her homeland to modern and contemporary art and sculpturing. She studied design at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts in Armenia.

She began her career at a motion design studio in Armenia, Triadastudio. It was here that she began building her extensive knowledge of 3D. She spent 10 years honing her craft and developing her skills here until she accepted an invite to work at LA based design studio, Prologue. From there she went to Psyop and Riot Games.

Lilit is a designer whose passion for design is palpable in all that she does and her technical prowess is immeasurable. We thoroughly enjoy seeing her ideas dance and play on the screen. Like in this piece for Jim Beam’s Red Stag:
