June #SWIMfan, Erin Sarofsky

Hello Swimmers! Busy times all around. Did you get a chance to listen to our interview with Karin Fong? We think it’s pretty awesome and believe you’ll enjoy it. When you’re done reading this post, head over to our Soundcloud page and give it a listen!

We’ve had lots of inquiries about why we aren’t on iTunes. There isn’t much of a story there, just some kinks within our website that we are working out in order to get it in the store. Not much longer…

In other happenings, the #SWIMfan honoree for June is Erin Sarofsky. We will be delivering Tweets and pinning up shots of her work throughout the month because we think so highly of this strong woman and of her work.

A powerhouse in the production and animation industries, Erin is President/Owner & Executive Creative Director of Sarofsky Corporation, a production company she co-founded in 2009 that specializes in live action production, VFX, 3D development, design, and animation for the entertainment and advertising industries.

Before she opened her own company, Erin graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in graphic design and an MFA in computer graphics and worked for Digital Kitchen and Superfad. She worked her way up from designer to creative director, worked on numerous high profile commercial projects, and won some awards before going her own way.

If you don’t know her by name, maybe you know her work? She has done title sequences for Showtime’s Shameless, Captain America – Civil War, and AMC’s The Killing; commercial work for Anheuser-Busch and Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and branding work for Comcast and Motorola. Check out this 2015 montage:

We love her work, admire her ambition, and are inspired by her thoughtful treatment for any project she works on. That is why Erin Sarofsky is our June #SWIMfan.
